Delta SFX Makeup and Prosthetics
This was my first attempt at a major SFX-makeup-involved costume. This was my Tzimisce Delta from a Vampire: the Masquerade Sabbat LARP I attended. I had a pretty low budget and didn't have propper work space, but I'm happy with how it turned out anyway. You can see my first painting of Delta in the background in some of the progress photos.
Note: While in the instructions say to add a snap to the horns, this is something I did for my Dolorosa cosplay years prior. What I actually did for this LARP (because it can get physical if you opt-in) was epoxy glue pieces of black fabric to the horns and sew them through the wig to the elastic with invisible thread on the day of the LARP. This method will make them STAY but will also make it so you can't easily get them off until it's time to clean up for the day.
I also kept my hair long so I could lock the elastic inside ponytails under the wig for extra security.
I added a piece of wire into the back ends of the side braid pieces so they could loop into the wig brace.
The eyes moved as my head moved. They were probably my favorite part.

Cut the legs off 2 sets of nylons. ripped apart old hospital pillow (if you don't have one, batting will do), divided stuffing into logs, wrapped the logs in plastic wrap, put the logs in three of the legs, stitch the end closed with fabric sticking out
cut the fourth leg in half, make a "foot" end on the second piece, stuff the two like the first, sew them closed with ends tucked.
Braid the prosthetic. Forbidden bread (back of head flesh braid prosthetic) sewn.

use "sleepy doll" eyes and remove the lashes if desired. Paint the case to remove plastic shine and color match better. Build up sockets on the face with latex and cotton.

finish the shaping and pre-makeup the fine details of the eyes to save time
Hand-sewed 1-inch elastic into a headband with a strap over the top and marked spots for horn and flesh braid attachment points. Sew a small piece of leather to the braid attachment point. Sew large snaps to braid attachment points. Make wire horn frames.

cover fill with oven-bake clay and bake it, then sand. Mild superficial cracking is fine.
Paint with acrylic paint and air-dry glaze. collection of "bonecraft" items painted
starting the delta symbol and the bases for the facial horns. Don't be like me and actually be careful about your hair. Pull it back better or preemptively shave areas you know you'll be using.
start placing the horn and building up the "skin" socket that fixes it in place with more cotton and latex. This is detailed work that takes a long time.
