The Left Hand of God

This is the illustration for Chapter Four of my Deviant: the Renegades community content novella, "Thoughts and Prayers." I used an 8B pencil-like brush for the "inking" and acrylic-like brush for the coloring, along with blending layers until it looked like something like oil slick or plastic distortions. The thick inking and backlighting added to the drama of the scene, as well as something resembling a halo - but manmade.
