Will You Appologize, God?

This is the illustration for Chapter Ten of my Deviant: the Renegades community content novella, "Thoughts and Prayers." I had the mental image for this illustration before I wrote a single word of said novella. There were some illustrations that I did in full painting, neatly, with soft brushes. This one felt more powerful with imperfections littered everywhere and splattered, seeping ink. It felt like violence and dirt and corruption on a page where there ostensibly was none.

And then I had to write an entire novella around that.

The title is based on a line from the poem "An Infected Wound" by Delenn Ivanova Yake at the beginning of the novella.
