Embroidered Necklace

A necklace I made for my youngest sister for her birthday one year. I took a scrap of a nice-patterned fabric and cur out an oval of the fabric and stretched it over a wire frame and held it with a quick stitch. Then I sewed that to a plain piece of black suede and covered the seam with embroidery. After that, I beaded the front, hiding the thread tails in the embroidery.

Then I just made some simple beaded wire pins and linked the whole thing together on the chain.
