Privileged Profiling
This is the illustration for Chapter Three of my Deviant: the Renegades community content novella, Thoughts and Prayers. The painting in the background is derived from “Town Scene on River” by Thomas Sully (1783-1872), with filters and extra painting over. I used watercolor style brushes for the entire piece to both match the painting in the background but to also give a soft, glowing, sort of innocence to the scene to add dissonance to what’s going on.
