Table 1 Symbiote

This is the third and final piece from my trio of high school final series paintings. I used a comic style since I'm very fond of comic books and, at the time, had aspirations of going into comic illustration. I did portraits of everyone at my particular table in the art room using the oil painting techniques that linked the trio of peices - damar varnish and linseed oil to make extremely thin, watercolor-like layers for most of the work and then thicker, more opaque painting for the symbiote.

The upper right side view was me as a high school senior.

This painting was over 5 and a half feet tall, stretched over a wooden frame of an old art display my teacher found deep in the school's storage. I had to saw off the legs before I could stretch the canvas.
